Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) Ground Design & Mission Support seeds an experienced System Administrator to join the Information Technology group located in Haleakala National Park, Hawai’i.
Position Responsibilities: Perform system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration, and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture.
Provide problem resolution and technical support for delivery systems.
Provide support for the design, validation, and configuration management of computing delivery systems.
Administer user access.
Protect information in accordance with security requirements.
Monitor system performance to support capacity, backup, and disaster recovery planning.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.
S.
Security Clearance.
(A U.
S.
Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Must have Security+ Certification or the ability to obtain Security+ Certification within 90 days of start date.
1+ years experience in all aspects of Windows Desktop administration (e.
g.
application and services, troubleshooting, application configuration, networking, user accounts, Active Directory and security).
Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule that includes early mornings, late evenings, weekends, holidays and overnight shifts.
Ability to work above 10,000 feet ASL (Above Sea Level) for full 8 to 10 hours shifts.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 1+ years of experience with Linux Systems Administration.
1+ years of experience working with Virtualized Systems (i.
e.
VMWare) design and implementation.
Hands-on experience developing and implementing IT strategy and plans.
Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.
Experience with scripting and automation tools.
Experience with UNIX shell scripting, Windows PowerShell scripting, Python, or Puppet.
Experience with maintenance of Cisco switches, routers, wireless, command line interface and network protocols.
Experience with Cisco switches or routers.
Working knowledge of Splunk administration.
RedHat/Windows or other similar Operating System Certification.
The ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables.
Typical Education/Experience: Associate (level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.
g.
Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.
g.
Master, 6 year's related work experience, etc.
).
Mid-Level (level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.
g.
Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.
g.
PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.
).
