Aloha! Four Seasons Resorts Lana'i is seeking a In Room Dinning Food & Beverage Manager JOIN OUR 'OHANA The Food & Beverage Manager plans, organizes, controls, and directs the work of the In Room Dining and Bar/Restaurant operations, while ensuring guest satisfaction.
The Food & Beverage Manager must maintain and control a high level of guest service.
This is achieved by ensuring consistent and thoughtful service, demonstrated by the staff.
The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for the hiring, training, supervising, and coaching of staff.
This individual will have strong leadership, interpersonal and analytical skills is able to prioritize and adapt to the changing needs of the operation, and can evidence having a solid work ethic, good business acumen and a passion for service.
They will assist in other Resort outlets such as Restaurant, Bar, and Pool as needed.
Job Responsibilities: Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and manage all employees in the Resort’s In Room Dining and Bar/Restaurant departments to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met: long-range strategic planning for outlet operations.
The ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.
Describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience The ability to work closely with the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to design effective menu and amenity options while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price and attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed Preferred Qualifications and Skills: College degree preferably specializing in restaurant management or equivalent experience is required.
Two to three years previous experience in a supervisory or assistant manager position in Food & Beverage.
Ability to multitask and prioritize is essential for this position.
Requires a working knowledge of division operations as well as Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures.
Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job.
Applicants must be comfortable managing in multiple Food & Beverage outlets Knowledge of food & beverage service, cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting.
Requires ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems.
Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
Requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
