The Position
We're looking for a passionate Nurse Consultant who will serve as an internal resource to nursing home operations regarding survey readiness, plans of correction, and dispute resolution.
This position provides consultation to nursing and health care provides in OPH to improve nursing and other health care programs, and standards.
Monitor changes in federal/state nursing home regulations and survey requirements that affect OPH nursing homes
Serves as analyst of trends affecting OPH nursing home survey outcomes as required and necessary
Works with the EVP to ascertain that standards for accreditation, licensure, and certification are maintained; reviews medical and other pertinent records and specific community layout and environmental conditions; observes nursing and related practices for conformance with standards and regulations; prepares reports of findings and recommends corrections as needed to EVP
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Hawaii required.
At least three (3) years' experience in a hospital or a long term care facility.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance (can be done in-house).
First Aid and CPR preferred.
