Food Service Program Director to ensure compliance with school nutrition and meal patterns.
You will be responsible for the preparations, delivery and overall success of the school meal program.
You will supervise the food service members and inform management on progress and performance.
A successful Food Service Program Director must have a broad knowledge of program management principles.
They must have a strategic mindset as well as be able to lead and develop their subordinates.
The goal is to ensure the school's meal program will be delivered successfully and add the highest possible value to the student's health and well-being.
*Responsibilities- School schedule* * Initiate and set goals for programs according to the objectives of the school * Plan the programs from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones, and processes * Develop, budgets, cost analyses, and operations * Devise evaluation strategies to monitor performance and determine the need for improvements * Supervise all program aspects and the food service manager involved to provide feedback and resolve complex problems * Discover ways to enhance efficiency and productivity of procedures and people * Apply change, risk, and resource management principles when needed * Prepare reports to determine progress and issues and to comply with federal guidelines and reporting.
* Ensure program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies * Keep senior management informed with detailed and accurate reports or presentations *Skills* * Proven experience as the program director or other managerial position, with a food service focus.
* Thorough understanding of nutrition, rules, and regulations, and training for National School lunch program management techniques and methods * Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics * Outstanding knowledge of data analysis, reporting, and budgeting and how it applies to the National Food Service program and other USDA-sponsored programs.
* Working knowledge of MS office and program management software.
* Excellent organizational and leadership skills * An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities * Excellent communication skills * Certification in Foodservice and nutritional standards, plus BSc/BA diploma in management or a relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus * Ability to lift 50LBS * Creative menu develop and able to incorporate methods to make meal time desirable and educational Pay commensurable with experience EOE Job Types: Contract, Full-time Pay: From $45,000.
