Kapena’s Wood Fired Kitchen in Lahaina is looking for the right individual to join our ‘Ohana in the role of Servers & Lead Servers.
Kapena’s Wood Fired Pizza is a family business committed to excellence through personalized service delivered with Aloha.
The Server is responsible for providing table service to restaurant patrons by taking orders for food and beverages, delivering orders to the table, and ensuring that patrons have a pleasant dining experience.
The Server may open and close sections with the increase or decrease in the volume of guests as directed by Restaurant Manager or Chef.
Updates the reservation book and takes advance reservations.
Additionally, this position ensures tables are ready for guests and clears tables once they leave.
The Lead Server performs all of these duties and handles the most unique and complex front of house duties.
The successful candidate(s) is eligible for a $250.
00 new hire bonus after one (1) month of service.
Starting Hourly Rate $15.

The Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Greets customers as they are seated at the table; ensures the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided.
Distributes menus and presents the daily specials.
Answers questions regarding the menu.
Takes food and beverage orders and delivers them to the kitchen.
Delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to customers.
Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to customers’ satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen.
Collects plates and clears the table as customers finish their meals.
· Prepares customers’ checks and collects payments.
Assists with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
Negative TB Test.
Regularly push, pull, and carry objects; Stand and walk for at least 6-8 hours
Reach shoulder level and below waist constantly, and above the head occasionally
Good understanding and comprehension of the English language.
Basic Math and writing skills
High School Diploma or G.
E.
D preferred
Enjoy multitasking in a fast-paced environment
Punctual, dependable, and thoroughness
Must be at least eighteen years old (at least 21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages).
Must possess or successfully complete safe food handling course prior to first day.
Customer service experience preferred.
Previous restaurant experience preferred.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
