*Job Purpose:* The Restaurant Manager coordinates the food service activities of the restaurant in order to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction.
*Job Requirements:*
* Atleast three years’ of restaurant management experience, preferably with a full service restaurant.
Possess an associate degree or some college
* Ability to work all shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
* Possess good written and verbal communications skills
* Ability to train, develop and lead subordinates to attainment of store and company goals
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
* Oversees dining room and kitchen food service activities.
Supervises employees in accordance with operating policies and standards.
* Maintains records of personnel performance and restaurant costs.
* Works with employees with regard to food presentation and proper food handling procedures.
* Schedules and supervises employees to ensure proper execution of company standards and a high level of guest satisfaction.
* Assists with the selection, training, and development of employees.
* Checks with guests to ensure customer satisfaction; handles guest complaints as they occur.
* Executes the general responsibilities necessary to minimize operating costs.
* Maintains a system of cost controls through purchasing and sales.
*Personal Appearance:*
The Restaurant Manager must be well groomed and neatly attired in accordance with company dress standards.
*Physical Actions:*
The Restaurant Manager will be required to engage in the following physical action for up to a ten hour work shift and must have the stamina to work a minimum of 50 hours a week.
_Standing: 35%; Lifting: 5%; Reaching: 5%; Walking: 25%; Cleaning: 5%; Carrying: 25%_
The Restaurant Manager is required to carry food and beverage orders weighing up to thirty pounds.
The Restaurant Manager will need to carry soiled plates and glassware weighing up to 50 pounds.
The Restaurant Manager will need to retrieve supplies weighing up to 10 pounds from storage shelves.
*Environmental Exposure:*
The Restaurant Manager works in the climate controlled environment of the dining rooms, but will be required to walk in and out of the kitchen resulting in exposure to heat and humidity.
Restaurant Managers may be working on the patio and will be exposed to varying weather conditions.
The Restaurant Manager works with cleaning chemicals as needed.
