We are seeking an operations manager for the season to assist the Head Golf Professional with day to day operations
The Operations Manager is responsible for managing the daily Guest Services, Front Desk and Activities Department.
The Operations Manager is responsible for working closely with the Housekeeping Department and Facilities Department to ensure smooth operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the Front Desk and Guest Services Department
Oversee the daily operations of the Activities department
Implement Operational SOP’s
Directly supervise the Front Desk Supervisor, Guest Services Supervisor and Activities Supervisor.
Manage and monitor the coordination between all Operational departments for smooth and efficient operations.
Assess and review customer satisfaction and service recovery process.
Support and work with all Head of Departments in all aspects of resort operations.
Ensure the premises are in operative condition as per the standards to receive and serve Guests.
Provide continuous LQA quality checks.
Identify staff learning needs and assist the Training Supervisor with development.
Create a positive team atmosphere and motivate staff effectively
Take part in regular management team meeting
Qualifications:
Enthusiasm for Athletics and Activities
Bachelor's degree in hotel operations management, business management or related field
2+ years experience in a luxury hotel operations management position
Strong understanding of policy, planning and strategy
Essential Skills:
Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate in English, both orally and in writing, using correct spelling and grammar, with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding, both in person and by telephone.
Ability to provide legible written communication, compute basic mathematical calculations, and utilize computer data.
Ability to understand member concerns and problems and find solutions, using good judgement and maintain discretion and diplomacy while performing job duties thus promoting positive relations with guests, members and staff, while remaining calm, courteous and helpful.
Ability to think clearly and quickly, effectively prioritize, organize and follow up within the appropriate time frame.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of all member information.
Ability to work cohesively with other departments.
Ability to interact positively with members in person and on the phone in challenging conversations.
Ability to work a flexible schedule and attend events as requested.
