Tired of all the stop-and-go's each day on your current School Bus route? Akina Bus Service is looking to fill School Bus Drivers for our Private School routes.
While many Department of Education [DOE] drivers have to make as many as 15 stops per day, the AM/PM route is typically "one stop, one drop".
As the position is split shift to accommodate AM/PM routes, additional hours can be earned for fieldtrip and/or after school activities.
*You are guaranteed a minimum of 5-hours per day if you work both AM and PM runs* *(25-hours minimum per week and 40+hours per week if you wish).

What's more, you can "hop over" to another division of the Akina family of companies and drive for a Shopping Shuttle, Airport, Activities & Tour Transfers, and/or Wedding/Family Reunion event transfers.

*Primary Responsibilities:*
Our Drivers provide excellent care to our student customers.
Using a company provided School Bus, safely transport students to and from designated pick-up points to the destination in a timely fashion.
\*We do not offer a relocation package\*
*Requirements:*
* Valid *State of Hawaii Driver’s License with CDL A or B *_*with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsement*_*.
*
* Commercial Driving Experience
* Must currently reside in Hawaii, preferably Maui
* Must pass pre-employment and random drug screening
* Must have an excellent driving record -- Will be required to provide a Driver Abstract
* Pre-employment background check required
* Must have a current PUC Medical Examination
* High school diploma or GED or equivalent
* Must be at least 21 years of age
* Authorized to work in the United States
* Good work ethic, including punctuality and good attendance
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills and knowledge
* Ability to read and comprehend traffic management systems, training materials and correctly instruct others
* Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions
* Ability to communicate efficiently and accurately in person, by text, email, and using two-way radio
* Good verbal and written communication skills
