We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Cashier/Bartender at Point Break Pizza & Panini.
In this dual role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service at the cash register and assisting with bar operations.
The ideal candidate should have exceptional interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service and Cash Handling:
* Welcome customers warmly and provide prompt, courteous, and efficient service.
* Handle cash and electronic payments accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper change is given.
* Process orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring customers' needs are met and providing recommendations when necessary.
* Resolve customer complaints or inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
* Maintain a clean and organized cashier station, including the display of promotional materials, menus, etc.
Bar Operations:
* Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, following standard recipes and ensuring quality and consistency.
* Take orders from customers at the bar, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including restocking supplies, cleaning glasses, and bar utensils.
* Follow and enforce responsible alcohol service guidelines, including checking identification and refusing service to intoxicated or underage customers as required by law.
Order Taking and Coordination:
* Assist in taking phone and online orders, ensuring accuracy and notation of any customer preferences or special instructions.
* Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of orders.
* Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to provide updates on order statuses and address any customer inquiries or modifications.
Food and Beverage Knowledge:
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of the menu, including ingredients, flavors, portion sizes, and beverage offerings.
* Provide recommendations to customers based on their preferences and dietary restrictions.
* Stay informed about specials, promotions, and any changes to the menu.
Cleanliness and Sanitation:
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including wiping down surfaces, washing glassware, and disposing of waste properly.
* Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including proper handwashing, handling of food and beverages, and waste disposal.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a cashier and/or bartender role is preferred.
* Strong customer service skills and the ability to provide a positive and friendly experience to customers.
* Ability to handle cash and use electronic payment systems accurately and efficiently.
* Knowledge and understanding of bar operations, including the preparation and service of beverages.
* Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and collaborate with the kitchen.
* Basic math skills to handle cash transactions and calculate change accurately.
* Familiarity with responsible alcohol service guidelines and ability to refuse service when necessary.
* Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
