*_ Regular, Full-Time, RCUH Non-Civil Service position with the Maui High Performance Computing Center (MHPCC), Department of Defense High Performance Computing Modernization Program’s “_Vanguard Center for High Performance Computing”_, located at the Maui Research and Technology Park (MRTP) in Maui, Hawai‘i.
This position will conduct research under the University of Hawai‘i Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) Task Orders.
Telework (from employee’s residence city and state) may be permissible subject to review and approval by Principal Investigator and RCUH.
Continuation of employment is dependent upon program/operational needs, satisfactory work performance, availability of funds, and compliance with applicable Federal/State laws.
*MONTHLY SALARY RANGE:* $7,000 - $9,000/Mon.
*DUTIES: *Manages and coordinates the schedules for the VCHPC Executive Director and Directors.
Budgets and coordinates travel arrangements.
Works with the VCHPC Executive Director and Directors to ensure that deliverables and action items are completed in a timely manner.
When designated by the VCHPC Executive Director, may serve as "Administrator-in-Charge" for administrative related items during the absence of the VCHPC Executive Director and Directors.
Provides administrative assistance, such as writing and editing e-mails, drafting memos, and prepares communications on behalf of the VCHPC Executive Director and Directors.
Reviews materials, reports, and other communications relating to general administrative matters.
Responsible for Directors’ events and scheduling logistics, which includes but is not limited to ensuring all required equipment, supplies, transportation, presentation materials, and attendees arrive to and from the event.
Responsible for recording meeting minutes and filing accordingly.
Answers and responds to phone calls, communicates messages and information to the Directors.
Monitors the current electronic filing and database system and look for ways to improve current systems.
Oversees the Administrative Support Assistant and student assistant.
*PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS:* *EDUCATION* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university in public or business administration, economics, political science, or a related field.
(Associate’s Degree from an accredited community college and two (2) years of experience or High School Diploma or G.

D.
equivalent and three to four (3-4) years of related administrative work experience sufficient to provide skills, perform job duties may substitute for a Bachelor’s Degree.

*EXPERIENCE* Three to five (3-5) years of responsible administrative experience in a business organization or government agency.
*KNOWLEDGE* Knowledge of principles and practices of public administration; principles and practices of public relations; principles and techniques in writing informational material; techniques used in preparing and editing copy for printing.

Citizen, a requirement of the Government security investigation to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and have excellent organizational skills.
Ability to grasp complex issues quickly and achieve solutions to complex problems in context of institutional policies and procedures.
Ability to utilize personal computer and Microsoft Office.
Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
Ability to effectively conduct work remotely (e.

, telework) as applicable.
Post Offer/Employment Condition: Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance based on a tier-3 background investigation to access classified information.
Must be able to complete the UH Information Security Awareness Training (ISAT) within two (2) weeks from date of hire, and re-certify every twelve (12) months.
*PHYSICAL/MEDICAL DEMANDS* Ability to lift and carry up to thirty (30) pounds unassisted from ground level while in a standing position.
Ability to perform repetitive keyboard entry for twenty to forty (20-40) hours per week.
Ability to listen and speak clearly on all communications devices.
