Role Overview
The Accounting Assistant playa a crucial role in the financial health of the organization by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payments to vendors and suppliers.
The responsibilities extend to managing financial transactions, maintaining detailed records, and fostering positive relationships with external partners.
This role demands a keen attention to detail, proficiency in financial software, and a commitment to upholding financial policies and procedures.
As an integral part of the finance team, this position contributes to the smooth functioning of the organization by overseeing accounts payable processes, promoting financial transparency, and supporting the overall fiscal integrity of the company.
This role involves collaboration with internal departments and external vendors to facilitate efficient payment cycles, contributing to the organization's reputation for financial reliability and integrity.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Proven experience in accounting roles, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality protocols.
Requirements
Execute day-to-day accounting activities, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with regulatory standards.
Provide general administrative assistance, including grant and project management support.
Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with vendors and patients.
Collaborate with internal teams to support a cohesive and collaborative work environment
Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
Available for full-time employment, with a commitment to meeting the health center's operational needs.
