Atlas Building Supplies is an ACE Hardware Store, specializing in lumber and other construction and hardware products.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant/Bookkeeper/Office Manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate must be trustworthy, communicate well, be pro-active and hands on approach in solving conflicts that fall outside normal job description duties, and will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and assisting with various accounting tasks.
Must keep things confidential and be able to be bonded.
**Must be able to live on Moloka’i.
Compensation: Competitive salary to be negotiated during the interview process.
Responsibilities:
\+ Record day-to-day financial transactions in accounting software
\+ Reconcile bank statements and other financial records
\+ Prepare and manage invoices, bills, and receipts
\+ Process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
And record journal entries for payroll into
accounting system.
\+ Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
\+ Human Resources
Qualifications:
\+ 5 years experience in Accounting, Finance, or related fields (or equivalent experience)
\+ At least 2 years of junior college education in accounting or 2 years of additional experience, working with outside
CPA’s and senior management.
\+ Proficient in accounting software
\+ Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations
\+ Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
\+ Effective communication and interpersonal skills
\+ Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance is a plus
